Solidary Foundation and Feed The Children are charitable organizations working together dedicated to serves the poor, regardless of a person's religion, race, ethnicity, or gender, as a demonstration of God's unconditional love for all people.
Hundreds of people lined up Thursday morning to receive some much-needed boxes of food and other items.
Families receive boxes of food and household products. This event comes as part of an effort to fight against hunger. Solidary Foundation and The Feed the Children program put on the event. South Florida has a lot of people that are either poor or they're not working or they lost their jobs or they're losing their house.
The families in need received a 25-pound box of food, which include water, cereal and canned goods, a 10-pound box of hygiene items and a box of Avon products.
In Florida there are about 700,000 people living in poverty, enough to fill the Sun Life Stadium three times over.
